Here is where I post pictures of things I have made for Tye and her friends, just to share them, on the whole I will be including hints on how I created each item. At the moment it's shoes because that's what I've got pictures of, I will be updating it regularly with new items and pictures I've found on the computer. You don't want to know how many pictures of 'random doll stuff' are stored on this thing....
Unicorn shoes! I loved making these. They are made from instructions in the shoe making book I got for christmas from Sam. The soles are detailed fimo, the uppers are leather and the unicorn decoration is shrinkie that I designe and 'cooked' till it shrunk. Below is another shot of the sole detail with the heart shape. I love these shoes!
These ugg style loose boots are also from a pattern in the book, I love these!!! You can see them on Megan in the 'snow day' photostory. They fit the kellykids and also my poor put upon BJD Teazle who is a puki puki. I threatened to include a picture of him but he refused - I'll just have to sneak up on him sometime!
Way back sometime in the nineties Mattel released a Barbie and Kelly set for Gap the clothing company, the Kelly doll had the most gorgeous high top red trainers with white laces and soles. I could never afford a set like it as I have to import to the UK (you would not believe how little of the range we get here!) so I gave up and made my own. This is Tye's set but when they were just made I took a few shots here. The set is the same as I used for 'Tye's Jubilee' and is very basic. One sheet of black paper in 'big as you can get' size. Chalked lines, drawn drain. One sheet of dolls house 'stonework' paper wrapped around a short plank of wood for the pavement and the back wall is our house wall.
I laughingly nickname this shot 'Billie Jean' as it looks not unlike the Michael Jackson video for that song. Wrong style of shoe but ah you get the idea lol. These feet belong to Shaun who is happy to do his MJ impression any time you ask!
Wellington boots (rubber boots designed for winter wear) made out of fimo of all things, they aren't as long as they should be which is why they're worn under her jeans. Her coat was made by my good friend Manda - who is a whizz at all things miniature.
