Welcome!
If you've wondered in here from a link and are looking for the photostories go to 'photostories, there are three pages of them (linked under the photostories tab) and the easter one is on page 3. Click top right of each photo to progress through the story or let the slideshow run.
Hello to everyone who wonders into my little space on the internet. There's been links to Tye's site in several new places the last few days so I just wanted to say Hi and Welcome to all our new readers. Nice to have you, whether you come back again and again or are just passing by.
Here we have a pic of Tye out for a ride on Snowy. I have as usual got the next couple of stories at least half planned in my head and horses will feature (regular Tye friends will know we don't get far without including them) Yesterday was a bit of a disaster of a photoshoot.
I much much prefer natural light and backgrounds to my pix, something I'm just not able to do with the wide variety of props needed for Tye's stories, like stables, paddocks, village greens etc - generally the stables and such are too heavy to transport very far or too fiddly to try and set up outside where a simple breeze would wreak havoc. we don't really have anywhere I can put a board up and use natural things in the background so if I want to utilise nature - we gotta go out!
So - big plan. Go and take photos of Tye and Snowy riding the same bridleways I ride my real horses on. I carefully packed up Tye and a fully dressed Snowy, collected the camera and spare batteries, extra blutak for making her hold the reins, loaded my bike and off we went. Struggled off road up a huge hill to get some nice background scenery as she's so small I have to be high to capture it realistically.......set it all up and.....NOOOOOOOOOOO! 'no camera card' (muggins here had left it still in the computer after the easter shots) - of course the mobile phone was too low on juice to work either....added to that a couple of elderly folks were wending their way up the same hill giving me 'That Look' for a) being Odd and B) daring to have a bike on a bridleway lol. Then the heavens opened and down came the rain so I took the hint and came home. Sheesh!
Muttering darkly about my ineptness all the way I might add.
Still some thingss came of it.I never ride my horses out on the roads now without being swathed in Hi Viz clothing so I decided Tye needed a tabard at the very least. I quickly made her one out of a spare one we had, carefully trimming it to the right shape and using a pen to put the lettering on. I never was good at lettering. It basically needs redoing as the pen ink ran into the material, but here's a couple of shots so you get the idea. They ae deliberately dark to highlight the reflective strips.
So yes - that was yesterday. I've had a couple more ideas since then and will hopefully get around to photos as soon as weather and organisational skills (I has them not!) coincide!
Thanks for reading
Sue and Tye
